“Blue jeans, white shirt, you know you made my eyes turn…”, I think Lana Del Ray couldn’t have said it better in her song “Blue Jeans,” on how I felt when I got a chance to get a sneak peek of the now released Wrangle Spring-Summer 2021 collection. Wrangler first hit the scene in 1947 with its first western jeans winning the hearts of western cowboys and cowgirls making the brand synonymous with western clothing.
Now fast forward to 2021 Wrangler is still going strong and pushing the envelope on jeans and casual wear giving the world a glimpse of the 70’s vibe with 21st century eyes. While everyone was prepping for Paris Fashion Week, Wrangler debut their Spring-Summer 2021 collection like a quiet storm on March 1, 2021, turning heads with its updated Heritage Collection that originally launched in Fall-Winter 2020.
With fashion model and designer, Georgian May Jagger, the daughter of model Jerry Hall and rocker Mick Jagger, as the face of the Women’s Heritage Collection, Wrangler has brought their “Turn Heads. Capture Hearts” campaign to life. The collection has updated their “Heritage Styles’, better known as their denim signature silhouettes, the signature silhouettes now include new patterns, washes, and patchwork, all with one streamlined portfolio to ensure consistent sizing across all styles, which is a huge plus for us fashionistas. Every pair of jeans in the Heritage Collection was designed after a legendary look that won the West. The Wild West, a straight leg jean, the North American best-selling Wanderer, a flare jean, Westward, an exaggerated bootcut jean, Wriggler, a skinny jean, and Worldwide, an exaggerated wide jean.
In addition to an updated Heritage Collection, Wrangler introduced “Good Vibes” and “Welcome To Paradise.” The pieces from both collections definitely live up to their names. The pieces for the “Good Vibes” collection are fun, vibrant, and colorful. Honestly, it made me just want to book a ticket to the nearest island and relax on the beach with a fruity drink in hand. While the pieces from the “Good Vibes” collection told a story that conveyed a message that I am here to have fun and please don’t rain on my parade.
The Wrangler’s SS21 collection offers a selection of on-trend pieces for the season that are sure to brighten up your wardrobe and your mood and is available on Wrangler.com as well as on Nordstrom and FreePeople. Wrangler is also available in retail stores worldwide, including brand flagship stores in Denver and Dallas, department stores, mass-market retailers, specialty shops, western outfitters, and online.
