Last night some lucky New Yorkers were able to get front row seat to the most epic New York Fashion Show ever.  In celebration of the 150th Anniversary of Harper’s Bazaar, Glenda Bailey, Harper’s Bazaar Editor-in-Chief, and Jennifer De Winter, Senior Vice President of the Americas of Tiffany & Co, presented a light show of iconic fashion images. The iconic images were projected on the Empire State Building, turning the 102-story skyscraper located on Fifth Avenue into the world largest fashion magazine.

The event was streamed live on Bazaar.com and Harper’s Bazaar Facebook page and included works by Richard Avedon and Andy Warhol. Images included iconic Hollywood stars like Audrey Hepburn, Elizabeth Taylor, Marilyn Monroe, and Lauren Bacall.

The images also spanned the history of the magazine by displaying memorable covers and other images from past issues.  Kendall Jenner, a model who graced the cover of the magazine twice before, graced the magazine for its iconic anniversary May 2017 cover for a third time.  New York Times fashion photographer Bill Cunningham, who died on June 25, 2016, was among the many famous faces included in the light show.  Harper’s Bazaar was founded 1867 and was the first publication dedicated to women through fashion.
