The Darling of Las Vegas leaves New York Breathless during NYFW S/S 16

In association with the Eleanor Lambert Foundation, Style Fashion Week opened the New York Fashion Week season’s calendar with the “Official New York Fashion Week” Press Party. Style Fashion Week also opened the Official New York Fashion week runway shows with “The Darling of Las Vegas”…David Tupaz.

Of course this was no surprise for those of us in the Fashion Industry, afterall David was the go-to designer of several notable fashionistas in Los Angeles.  Dressing celebrities is nothing new for Filipino Designer David Tupaz and for New York Fashion Week gracing the runway was Tupaz’s chic, elegant, and dazzling women’s wear collection. Tupaz’s left everyone on the edge of their seats with a collection that left every single person in the room breathless… and definitely yearning for more.

In 2010, Tupaz made the big move to Las Vegas, put up an Atelier, founded the Las Vegas Fashion Design Council and the rest is history.  And speaking of history…David Tupaz is also the first and only designer in all of its 150 years to be recognized by the City of Las Vegas, Mayor Carolyn Goodman, and the City Council for his achievements in the Fashion Industry, the achievement is highlighted with June 3rd recognized as “David Tupaz Day.” I think the following statement by David Tupaz sums up his passion for his craft and the love for the people he designs for…And I for one…Cannot wait for his next collection.

FASHION IS THE EXTENSION OF OUR PERSONALITIES. IT DIGNIFIES OUR HUMANITY JUST LIKE ART AND MUSIC. I BELIEVE IN CAPTURING ELEGANCE; AN ALLURE OF ROMANTIC FEMINISM WITH A TAILORED TWIST. IT SPEAKS OF A MODERN DIGNIFIED GRACE.
