3D Print Week New York {April 15-17, 2015}

3D Printing….Something that you could only have imagined seeing on an episode of Star Trek …has become one of the newest innovation that has change the way we see the see world.  From food to fashion, to furniture to art, and everything in between, 3D printing has revolutionize manufacturing products by creating a three dimensional object by building it layer by successive layer, until the entire object is complete. Imagine printing in two dimensions on a sheet of paper, but with an added third dimension.  While many people haven’t heard of 3D printing, the process has been in use for decades. Many manufacturers have long used the printers in the design process to create prototypes for traditional manufacturing.

3D Print Week in New York, hosted by Meckler Media, is a series of events and activities aimed at celebrating the creative and professional opportunities within the 3D printing industry. Attendees are invited to explore this incredible revolution of machines, products, and services through creative displays, innovative fashion shows, and keynotes by top 3D printing experts.

And let’s not forget about the incredible events the company MakerBot has in store for us, from keynote speeches to MarketBot Learning Workshops, this is guaranteed to be an experience you will never forget. You will get all the 3D Printing awesomeness from MakerBot…with the added bonus of a MakerBot party at the company’s retail store located on 298 Mulberry Street in New York City. If you’d like an invite, simply shoot an email to3Dprintparty@makerbot.com.

And of course in anticipation of 3D print week I’ve done some research, and I’ve discovered that Will.i.am…one of the singers from the group “Black Eyed Peas” is a big fan of 3D Printing.
